The 500 Golf Club, known as the 500 Club was created by Brain Whitcomb and Tom
Sneva, Indy 500 winner who has a passion for golf and fast golf carts! His
goes 104 mph and he just may drive by you one day on the golf course!
Sand traps are everywhere in the Whitcomb design and there are grass
bunkers on several holes. Water comes into play on six holes.
Transplanted palms give the course a semi tropical feel. The greens are fast
at times and have enough undulation for a challenge. A local favorite of the
common man, the 500 Club is usually a 3 day advance tee time, and a great
course to book after you arrive on your Arizona golf vacation. "The 500
Club is perhaps the best golfing value in all of Arizona!" says John
Mohatt, a friend of Sneva and an Arizona golf fanatic. "Grip it and
rip it!"
